Sometimes the tableware is not cleaned after washing in the dishwasher, and there are even food residues. Generally, it is the following situations:
1. The cutlery is not set correctly.
One is that the tableware is placed too tightly, and the basket is too full. Because the dishwasher is rinsed by spraying water jets through the rotation of the spray arm, when placing the tableware, there should be enough space for the water to spray on all the tableware surfaces, and the tableware should not be close to each other as much as possible.
The second is that the tableware is “upside down”, and the spray arm cannot rinse the inside of the tableware, but will be filled with water after washing.
2. The spray arm does not rotate smoothly.
It may be that when the tableware was placed, some tableware (such as spoons, etc.) fell down and hindered the normal rotation of the spray arm, or it may be that the tableware did not fall when it was placed, but it fell after being washed by the water column. Therefore, in the process of placing tableware, you should pay attention to whether the tableware may be washed down during the washing process.
3. The spray holes in the spray arms are clogged.
Limestone and other food debris in the water during washing can clog the spray holes in the spray arm. If it is blocked, you can take out the spray arm (according to the instructions), rinse the spray arm with flowing water, and then reinstall the spray arm.
4. The filter plug is dirty or not installed correctly.
The purpose of the filter plug is to filter the dishwater before the pump, preventing food debris from entering the sump pump, which sometimes clogs the filter plug. After each dishwashing, you should check whether there is any residue on the filter plug. If there is residue, you should (according to the instructions) remove the filter plug and rinse it.
Failure to install the filter plug properly may allow dishwater containing residue to be drawn into the pump and then flushed by the spray arm onto the dishes, and worse, may block the spray hole of the spray arm.
If you don’t know what a filter plug is, move on to how to add dishwashing salt, which is marked in the picture in the text.
5. The selected washing program is not powerful enough.
The choice of washing program should be based on the dirtiness of the tableware. A washing program that is too weak cannot clean a program that is too dirty.
Regarding the differences between the washing programs, please refer to the detailed explanation of the various washing programs of the dishwasher and the differences between them.
6. The dishes are prewashed.
Since the dishes are pre-washed, the dishwasher’s sensor will use a softer washing program, so heavy dirt on the dishes cannot be washed. Dishwashers only need to remove large food residues from dishes, no pre-washing is required.
7. Tall and slender cutlery is placed in the corner.
The corner position is the weak area for spray arm washing. It is not recommended to place tall and thin tableware in the corner position, and try not to place it obliquely.
8. Use other detergents instead of dishwasher-specific detergents.
Especially some other substitutes for dishwashing powder that some people use, and the dishes are too dirty to wash.
Regarding this point, we must be cautious, and the reason is to move to a detailed analysis of the common substitutes for dishwashing powder and brightener.
9. Drain hose not installed properly.
The drainpipe lays on the ground or is inserted too deep into the sewer pipe, causing rainbows, and the washing water in the dishwasher is drained, making it impossible to wash dishes normally.
